Requirements: The intern must be of legal adult age (18+).The internship is paid at €1,500 per month. Interns may not hold another employment contract during the internship.

What does the internship involve?
The internship in MEP Tynkkynen’s office is a highly diverse and practical programme that directly prepares you for working life. As an intern, you will get to try almost everything — with one exception: making coffee is not part of an intern’s duties.
You will attend countless events covering topics ranging from security to agriculture, and from foreign policy to the economy. The range is very broad, and you will learn how the EU influences almost every aspect of our daily lives and societies.
You will participate in meetings where the person sitting across the table could be a representative from Save the Children, Microsoft, an embassy — or even a head of state.
After the internship, you will be able to write memos, speeches, and reports. Your grammar and visual writing skills will also improve significantly. You will understand how EU institutions function and how legislative work is done in practice.
We will also equip our interns with a complete media toolkit that will benefit you in any future workplace: photography, video, social media, communications, and crisis communication.
As part of our ten-person team, you will learn seamless teamwork, develop your social skills, and build a wide network with other MEPs’ offices in the European Parliament.
You do not need a university degree to get this internship. No education can fully prepare you for the real world of politics — that can only be learned from the inside. What matters most in this job is motivation, work ethic, and the desire to improve every single day.
